Kuala Lumpur:Pahang The Pahang state government has successfully secured 12 investment commitments worth RM421 million during the Selangor International Business Summit (SIBS) 2026.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail emphasized the state government's dedication to fostering strategic cooperation and enhancing investment opportunities for both local and international investors through Invest Pahang's involvement at the summit. He assured that the state is committed to reducing bureaucratic hurdles while maintaining regulatory standards to facilitate these investments.
The Menteri Besar highlighted the necessity for these investment commitments to translate into real, tangible projects that benefit the state's 1.67 million residents. This includes initiatives like Pahang Barat Plus, a regional development program aimed at ensuring balanced economic growth in Pahang's western districts.
Wan Rosdy also stressed that the success of these collaborations should not be judged solely by the signing of agreements or investment values but by their progression to implementation stages. The state prioritizes attracting quality investments that can create employment, enhance skills, and introduce new technologies, all while adhering to legal and sustainability standards.
SIBS, organized by Invest Selangor Bhd and hosted by the Selangor state government, serves as a major trade gateway in Malaysia, facilitating connections among global business communities. This year's event is being held from October 14-17 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
