Pahang Leverages Digital App To Boost Student Development Rooted In Customs

Pahang: Pahang has become the first state in the country to implement the comprehensive use of the StudentQR application to strengthen students' character development rooted in customs, identity and the state's sense of self. Pahang Education Department director Ahmad Zamri Md Isa stated that the implementation of the Pahang Students' Customs and Identity Programme through the application has received official approval and aligns with the Malaysia Education Blueprint (RPM) 2026-2035.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the use of the application will be implemented in all schools in Pahang in stages and will be studied carefully so that the additional tasks do not burden teachers. Ahmad Zamri emphasized that the application offers parental involvement with communication integrated with teachers, focusing on the programme's educational objectives.

The event was officiated by Jaxer Digital Sdn Bhd executive chairman Tengku Puteri Seri Lela Wangsa Tengku Tan Sri Meriam Sultan Ahmad Shah. Ahmad Zamri noted that the application is not seen as complicating matters for all parties as it only requires a smartphone, but it must be managed properly to avoid any issues. The programme's main focus is character building among students, with technology serving as a supportive educational tool.

Through this system, students' good practices at home and at school can be recorded and recognised. Schools will also obtain comprehensive data to track students' character development accurately and in a focused manner. Ahmad Zamri expressed that the programme's comprehensive implementation is expected to position Pahang as a pioneer for other states in strengthening education based on character, values, and identity.

Meanwhile, StudentQR founder and chief executive officer Syed Huzaifah Syed Omar expressed optimism that the application will achieve its objectives. The application was developed to involve parents in building good character and values in children before their further development in school. Syed Huzaifah highlighted that the system is considered safe to use, with a good level of security accessible only by parents and teachers.
