KUANTAN: The Pahang government has initiated the Pahang Volunteer Post-Flood Assistance Mission to Kelantan, aiming to bolster humanitarian efforts and uphold social responsibility in the wake of recent flooding.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Pahang State Secretary Datuk Seri Zulkifli Yaacob announced that the mission involves around 400 volunteers, incorporating personnel from state departments, statutory bodies, and the Pahang Social Action Council (MTSP). These volunteers are tasked with assisting areas impacted by the floods, focusing on cleaning homes and schools and distributing aid to those in need.
Zulkifli emphasized that the initiative aims to expedite recovery efforts in the most affected areas, particularly targeting the Tumpat district and the Kampung Sri Bayu area. He highlighted the state government’s commitment to supporting impacted communities by fostering cooperation and support from various sectors.
The state government has urged all parties to support this initiative to enhance the
well-being of the affected populace.
