KUALA LUMPUR: Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil has expressed condolences to the family of Nikkei Asia journalist, Hakimie Amrie Hisamudin, who died at the age of 30 yesterday.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Fahmi conveyed his sympathies through a Facebook post, acknowledging Hakimie’s reputation as a highly committed and dedicated newsman. Fahmi noted that Hakimie had previously worked with Free Malaysia Today (FMT). In his message, Fahmi extended his deepest condolences to Hakimie’s family and friends and expressed hopes for their strength and patience during this challenging period. He concluded his message with a prayer, “Al-Fatihah.”
