Pahang Launches ‘Kasih Makmur’ Health Card For 10,000 Armed Forces, Police Veterans

Pahang: The Pahang government has launched the Kasih Makmur Health Card – Warrior Edition for 10,000 veterans of the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) and the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) residing in the state, in conjunction with National Warriors’ Day today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail announced that each recipient would receive healthcare benefits worth RM500 for medical treatment, the purchase of medication, health screenings, and services at private clinics registered with the state government. The initiative is expected to reduce waiting times at government hospitals.

The initiative, which involves an allocation of RM5 million, is set to begin next year. Furthermore, the state government has approved an allocation of RM50,000 each for the MAF Veterans Association and the PDRM Veterans Association to support their activities.

Wan Rosdy assured that military and police veterans in Pahang will continue to receive support, acknowledging that this initiative is a small token compared to the sacrifices made by these veterans in defending the state and country’s peace. Warriors’ Day is observed on July 31 each year to honour the contributions of security forces who have sacrificed for the nation.
