PAAB Marks 20 Years as a Pillar of Malaysia’s Water Sector Development

Kuala lumpur: Pengurusan Aset Air Berhad (PAAB) has emerged as a key pillar in the structured, sustainable, and effective development of Malaysia's water sector over the past two decades. Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof highlighted PAAB's significant role in strengthening the nation's water assets and infrastructure since its inception.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, in a Facebook post marking PAAB's 20th anniversary, Fadillah expressed appreciation for the organization's workforce and their commendable achievements. He acknowledged the dedication and sacrifices of PAAB employees, organizational leaders, and strategic partners, who have consistently contributed to the country's development.

Discussing water infrastructure, Fadillah, also the Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation, emphasized that investments in this sector yield long-term benefits. Though not immediately visible, these investments ensure a reliable water supply, resilient systems, and support for economic growth, forming the foundation for the nation's well-being.

Addressing future challenges like climate change, population growth, and rising water demand, Fadillah assured that the government would prioritize water security in line with Malaysia MADANI aspirations. This effort requires sustained commitment, careful planning, and collaboration among the government, agencies, and stakeholders.

Fadillah also expressed hope that PAAB would continue to thrive and contribute to national development, playing a vital role in ensuring water security for future generations. He anticipated that the 20th-anniversary celebration would be a catalyst for further success.
