Ipoh: The Industrial Modular Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programme, initiated by the Perak government through Pusat Aspirasi Anak Perak (PASAK), has demonstrated significant success, with 90.09 percent or 4,200 participants finding employment after completing their training between 2022 and June 2026.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, State Education, Higher Education, Youth and Sports Committee chairman Datuk Khairudin Abu Hanipah revealed that 289 Industrial Modular TVET programmes were conducted during this period, benefiting 4,662 participants from the state. He emphasized that in addition to the Industrial Modular TVET programme, there are 11 other TVET programme clusters under PASAK, focusing on short-term practical training. This initiative aims to enhance skills among the people of Perak by expanding access and opportunities.

Khairudin highlighted that from 2022 to June 2026, a total of 430 TVET training programmes were carried out, reaching 7,161 participants in Perak. He addressed these statistics during the oral question-and-answer session at the State Legislative Assembly sitting, in response to a query from Azizi Mohamed Ridzuwan (PN-Lubok Merbau) regarding the state government's policies to ensure TVET graduates remain competitive in a challenging economic environment.

He further stated that the Perak government, through PASAK, is intensifying its efforts to bolster TVET programmes, including upskilling and reskilling training across the state. The strategy is designed to ensure that youths, especially TVET graduates, acquire relevant skills to maintain competitiveness and build sustainable careers in their respective fields.
