Kuala lumpur: A total of 587,801 job vacancies were advertised online in the fourth quarter of 2025, according to the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) in its publication Big Data Analytics: Job Market Insights - Online Job Vacancies in Malaysia, Q4 2025.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Chief Statistician Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Uzir Mahidin stated that the number of companies advertising jobs increased to 80,287 in the fourth quarter from 77,615 in the previous quarter. Professional roles continued to lead online job advertisements, representing 46.4 percent or 272,698 openings, followed by technicians and associate professionals with 93,358 vacancies, and managers with 88,080 listings.
The demand was notably high for advertising and marketing professionals, with 42,411 positions available. Following this trend, there were 36,656 openings for managing directors and chief executives, 29,569 for administrative associate professionals, 22,093 for administrative professionals, and 20,111 for accountants and auditors.
Mohd Uzir also noted that the services sector remained the largest contributor to online job advertisements, making up 84.4 percent or 496,065 of the total job listings in the fourth quarter, compared to 77.2 percent in the previous quarter.
