Nga Urges Political Leaders To Uphold National Unity

Kuala lumpur: Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming has called on political leaders to uphold the values of moderation, mutual respect, and national unity. He said responsible leadership should focus on bringing Malaysians together rather than exploiting racial and religious differences for political gain.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Nga emphasized that Malaysia's strength lies in its diversity, where people of different races, religions, and backgrounds have lived side by side in harmony for generations, contributing to the nation's progress and prosperity. He stressed that this diversity must be respected by all.

Nga, who is also DAP deputy national chairman, warned against any attempt to manipulate racial sentiments, spread fear, or sow distrust among communities, as such actions are detrimental to national unity and undermine the spirit of togetherness that has long been the foundation of Malaysia's success.

He highlighted that Malaysians today are more concerned about issues that directly affect their daily lives, such as affordable housing, economic opportunities, quality public services, infrastructure development, and a better future for their children. 'People want solutions, not division. They want leaders who can deliver results, create opportunities, and improve their quality of life,' he added.

Nga also urged Malaysians to exercise wisdom and reject those who seek to gain political mileage by creating division and manipulating racial sentiments. He concluded that Malaysia's future should be shaped by leaders who inspire hope, promote understanding, and unite Malaysians of all races.
