Newly-Elected Tanjung Batu Representative to Launch Mobile Medical Team Initiative

Tanjung batu: The newly-elected representative for the Tanjung Batu state constituency, Dr Andi Md Shamsureezal Mohd Sainal, has announced plans to fulfill his election promise by establishing a mobile medical team for the area. The initiative, which was a key component of his campaign, is expected to be launched within the next month or two.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Dr Andi, representing the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS), stated that the team is already in place and that final details are being ironed out. This follows the official announcement of the election results for Kalabakan’s four state seats. Dr Andi emphasized that, during his campaign, he committed to setting up a mobile medical team to provide continued health check-ups for Tanjung Batu residents.

Dr Andi, formerly the director of Lahad Datu Hospital, reassured constituents of his dedication to serve with trust and integrity. Alongside the medical initiative, he has pledged to foster a healthy community, empower youth through education and skills development, and improve infrastructure in the constituency.

Expressing gratitude to Tanjung Batu residents, Dr Andi credited his victory to the hard work of his team and the support from the community, securing the seat by defeating Barisan Nasional’s Samasuddin Yusop with a majority of 981 votes.

In related news, Datuk Rina Jainal, an Independent candidate, won the Kukusan seat and described her victory as a significant step in her political journey. She emphasized her commitment to advocating for the people at the state level and ensuring the fulfillment of her campaign promises, defeating GRS’s Samsiah Usman by a majority of 650 votes.

Rina has pledged to support the government formed for Kukusan’s progress. Additionally, GRS chairman Hajiji was sworn in for his second term as Chief Minister of Sabah, marking another chapter in Sabah’s political landscape.
