Jakarta:Negeri Sembilan The Negeri Sembilan Police Contingent is ready to be deployed to ensure the smooth and safe execution of the Melaka State Election process, if necessary.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Negeri Sembilan police chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad stated that they have not yet received any official request for personnel assistance for the election. He affirmed that the force is prepared to provide support by deploying officers and personnel, based on directives and operational needs.
Alzafny noted that during the previous Negeri Sembilan state election, assistance was provided by the Melaka Police Contingent. He expressed readiness to reciprocate this support if required to maintain safety and public order throughout the election process.
He further assured that safety and public order within Negeri Sembilan will remain a priority, ensuring that their policing responsibilities are not compromised should they be called upon to assist elsewhere.
The Election Commission has scheduled the polling day for the 16th Melaka State Election on November 14, with nomination day on October 31 and early voting on November 10. The campaign period will last 14 days.
