Kuala lumpur: The National Resilience College (NRC) needs to continue to be strengthened as a credible institution in shaping leadership capable of navigating the country's increasingly complex security and defence landscape. Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin emphasized the importance of the college as a platform for enhancing the understanding of national security and defence among senior leaders in the defence, security, and civil sectors.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Mohamed Khaled made these remarks in a post on his Facebook page following a courtesy visit from NRC Commandant Maj Gen Datuk Saiful Bahari Zainol at Wisma Pertahanan. The Defence Minister highlighted the role of the NRC as an institution under the National Defence Studies Centre (PUSPAHANAS) in developing strategic leadership.
Mohamed Khaled expressed his hope that under the leadership of Saiful Bahari, the college would continue to be strengthened as a credible institution. He stressed the importance of the NRC's role in producing leaders capable of making strategic assessments and understanding the significance of national security and defence comprehensively.
Earlier, during a courtesy visit from newly-appointed PUSPAHANAS President Lt Gen Datuk Mahadzer Amin, Mohamed Khaled conveyed his hope that the institution would continue to serve as a key platform in shaping strategic thinking. He emphasized the necessity of producing a defence leadership capable of overcoming current and future security challenges.
