Kuala lumpur: The remains of Datuk Kamil Misuari, the husband of Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri, are scheduled to be flown to Kuching, Sarawak, at 11 am tomorrow. The burial is set to take place at the Samariang Muslim Cemetery.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Office of the Minister of Women, Family and Community Development announced that the remains would be flown from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) to Kuching on flight MH2520. The flight is expected to arrive at Kuching International Airport at 12.50 pm.
Following the arrival, clearance procedures at the airport are anticipated to take between 60 and 90 minutes. The remains will then be transported to Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri's official residence, with an expected arrival time of 2.50 pm. Funeral prayers are scheduled to be held at the residence at 4.40 pm before the burial at the Samariang Muslim Cemetery.
Earlier, approximately 250 family members and close friends gathered at the National Mosque to attend the funeral prayers for the deceased. The prayers were led by National Mosque imam Ustaz Zainul Hilmi Abd Jalil.
A check by BERNAMA at the National Mosque revealed a sombre atmosphere as attendees recited Surah Yasin and paid their final respects. The remains were subsequently taken to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) around 11.20 pm.
