Johor bahru: Travellers using the National Integrated Immigration System (MyNIISe) QR code at Bangunan Sultan Iskandar (BSI) will be given priority for immigration clearance to Singapore from today, particularly during peak hours.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail announced in a Facebook post that the facility will be available at counters 9 and 10 of the Bus Departure Hall from 4.30 am to 8 am. The initiative is aimed at assisting Malaysians who commute daily to Singapore and face challenges during the morning rush. Many commuters leave as early as dawn, rushing to catch buses and reach work on time.
Saifuddin emphasized that with the MyNIISe QR system, the government aims to make immigration clearance faster and easier, thereby easing congestion. MyNIISe is part of the government's key reform initiatives and is available for download from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and Huawei App Gallery.
