Kuala lumpur: A total of 96,700 job opportunities are still actively offered through the MYFutureJobs platform managed by the Social Security Organisation (PERKESO) as of June 30.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan reported that 668,321 job vacancies have been advertised via the platform. He noted that nearly 40 percent of the active job opportunities are high-skilled positions, over 30 percent are in the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector, and almost 20 percent offer salaries exceeding RM5,000 per month. This distribution indicates a strong demand for local talent within the industry.
Ramanan highlighted that the statistics demonstrate that job opportunities remain available across different sectors and skill levels. He emphasized that the MADANI Government, through PERKESO and the MYFutureJobs platform, provides comprehensive support such as job matching, career counselling, resume reviews, interview preparation, as well as retraining and upskilling programs to assist jobseekers in securing employment more efficiently.
In addition to the digital platform, Ramanan mentioned that the MADANI Government is broadening access to job opportunities by organizing the MYFutureJobs Career Carnival nationwide. This initiative aims to empower job opportunities for the populace. From January to May, 2,989 programs were held, engaging 86,594 jobseekers. These efforts resulted in 14,029 individuals securing jobs and 15,809 being called for subsequent interviews.
Ramanan also outlined that the government offers Mobility Assistance of up to RM1,000 to aid jobseekers who need to relocate for employment. He assured that KESUMA, through PERKESO, will continue to collaborate with employers and industry stakeholders to ensure more individuals obtain quality jobs, enhance their skills, and develop sustainable careers. He encouraged those seeking employment or contemplating a career change to utilize the MYFutureJobs platform as a gateway to improved job prospects.
