Muhamad Razali Remembered As Cheerful Colleague, Dedicated Photographer

Kuching: Bernama photographer the late Muhamad Razali Nordin, 54, was remembered today by family, colleagues and friends as a cheerful and lively personality who often lifted the spirits of those around him. His twin brother, Muhamad Raduan Nordin, said despite being twins, the differences in appearance and personality meant many people did not realise they were siblings when they were younger.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Muhamad Raduan shared his sorrow, stating, 'I learned that his health had begun to decline during Ramadan, but before I had the chance to visit him with other family members, he passed away. This loss has deeply affected us.' He added that after losing their elder brother in February, only three siblings remain out of eight, marking another significant loss for their family.

Acting deputy editor-in-chief of Bernama's Economic News Services, Harlina Samson, recalled Razali's ability to brighten the atmosphere even under pressure. 'I have known him since the early days of my career. In nearly 30 years with Bernama, he served at the Selangor bureau, twice at the Sarawak bureau and at headquarters. We worked together on many assignments, both locally and abroad, and he always showed strong commitment and excellent team spirit,' she said.

Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier's Department, Datuk Abdullah Saidol, acknowledged Razali's contributions in photography and news delivery. 'His dedication as a photographer will continue to be remembered. Although he was not from Sarawak, he made this state his place of service and home for many years,' he said after paying his last respects at Masjid At-Taqwa, Kampung Gita.

Razali, originally from Batu Gajah, Perak, passed away at 1.44 am today at Sarawak General Hospital, after suffering from several chronic illnesses, including heart, liver, and kidney complications.
