Kuala lumpur: Four-time Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MPL) Professional League champions, Selangor Red Giants (SRG) continued to strengthen their position as the league leaders of the 17th season for the third week after defeating RRQ Tora 2-0 today.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the match took place at Quill City Mall, where SRG, comprising players Mark Rusiana (Kram), Hazziq Danish (Stormie), Muhammad Qayyum Ariffin Mohd Suhairi (Yums), John Vincent Banal (Innocent), and Muhammad Danish Fitri Razman (Uni), initially struggled in the first game. However, the team, led by Michael Angelo Bocado (Arcadia), made a comeback towards the end of the match, securing victory by destroying the opponent's crystals in 23 minutes.
The momentum carried into the second game, with SRG closing the match in nearly 25 minutes. Despite the victory, Arcadia expressed that there remains potential for improvement. He noted that while pleased with maintaining an unbeaten record, the team could have finished the second game earlier, acknowledging certain errors. Arcadia emphasized the importance of learning from this experience to enhance their performance in upcoming matches.
SRG currently leads the standings, having collected five points from five matches, while RRQ Tora holds the second position after accumulating points from six matches. The MPL Malaysia season 17 offers two tickets to the Mid-Season Cup competition, MSC 2026, which has a total prize pool of USD$3 million.
