Kuala Lumpur: The Homebois have qualified for the grand final of the 15th season of the Mobile Legends Bang Bang Malaysian Professional League (MPL MY) musim ke-15 after beating DX Soul 3-2 in the lower bracket final at Juara Stadium here today. The team also automatically qualified for the Mid Season Cup (MSC) in conjunction with the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in July.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Homebois won the first match against DX Soul but allowed their opponents back into contention when they lost the second to even things at 1-1. They then were able to win the third match, yet once again DX Soul put on a tough fight to deny them the victory, stretching the score to 2-2.
In the final match of the Best of Five format, Homebois put on a great performance to finally emerge victorious at 3-2, to set up a meeting in the grand final against defending champions Selangor Red Giants (SRG.OG) tomorrow. “We are very happy with this win. Our target from here is to grab the title from SRG.OG,” team coach Ervan Pratama said after the match.
SRG.OG had qualified for the grand final earlier after beating the Homebois in the upper bracket final 3-2 early this month, which also ensured they qualified for the MSC this year, where they will be defending the title as champions.
