Motorcyclist Dies in Jalan Kampung Pandan Crash

Kuala lumpur: An armed forces retiree lost his life in a tragic accident when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car on Jalan Kampung Pandan. The incident took place on Monday, marking a somber day for the man's family and friends.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief, ACP Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa, provided details about the accident. The 45-year-old victim was traveling in the left lane on his Yamaha 135LC when he collided with the right side of a BMW that emerged from a junction on the left side of the road.

The impact of the collision left the motorcyclist with severe injuries to his head and body. He was immediately taken to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for treatment but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries in the emergency ward. The BMW driver, aged 44, along with the passengers in the car, were unharmed in the incident.

CCTV footage from a nearby premises revealed that the BMW driver had arrived at the location to pick up a friend before heading towards Damansara. The driver was arrested to aid the investigation under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 and tested negative for alcohol and drugs.

Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the accident to reach out to the Tun H S Lee Traffic Police Station at 03-2071 9999 or contact the nearest police station.
