Mother and Son Discovered Deceased in Bedong Home

Bedong: An elderly woman and her son were discovered dead in their residence in Kampung Zainol Abidin, Bedong, during the evening hours yesterday. The Kuala Muda police chief, ACP Hanyan Ramlan, reported that the deceased included a man in his 40s and his mother, who was in her 70s.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, a report was filed at 6.05 pm yesterday. An initial inspection revealed no injuries inflicted by sharp weapons. As the house was locked from the inside, authorities had to forcibly enter. The bodies were discovered in the living room and the kitchen. Further investigation is ongoing, and a post-mortem examination is expected to take place this morning. The victims are believed to have died over 48 hours prior, and the case is currently classified as a sudden death report (SDR) pending the post-mortem results.

In another incident in Shah Alam, Selangor, a lorry driver named Taqiuddin Jamil, aged 38, died after his vehicle skidded off the road and overturned into a drain at Simpang Jalan Suara, Kampung Tambak Jawa, Kuala Selangor, yesterday. Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mokhtar stated that they received a call at 6.32 am, and a team from the Kuala Selangor Fire and Rescue Station was dispatched to the location. Upon their arrival at 6.54 am, firefighters discovered the victim trapped in the driver's seat and used rescue cutter equipment to extricate him. The victim was successfully removed by 8.50 am but was confirmed dead by Ministry of Health personnel at the scene, and the body was handed over to the police for further action.
