MOT Initiates Infrastructure Projects in Kampung Panchor and Kampung Baru Paroi

Seremban: The Transport Ministry (MOT), under the MADANI Adopted Village programme, will bring improvements to Kampung Panchor and Kampung Baru Paroi in this district by implementing several projects for the local communities there. Its minister, Anthony Loke, said that projects worth almost RM1 million have been approved for the well-being of residents there.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, three major initiatives will be carried out under projects coordinated by the Village Development and Security Committee. These include the upgrading of the playground and security fencing at the Panchor people’s housing project, the construction of a new arch at the entrance of the Panchor people’s housing project, and the installation of an anti-climb galvanised fence at the Taman Jermerleng Indah Surau. This was announced during the launch of the MADANI 3: Santuni MADANI, MADANI Adopted Village and School programme for his ministry.

The Negeri Sembilan Road Transport Department (JPJ) will also undertake essential projects, including repairing a damaged drain at the Panchor people’s housing project, upgrading a damaged futsal court, and conducting tree-trimming and clearing activities to ensure the safety of residents. Loke also shared that his ministry is currently upgrading sports and community infrastructure in Kampung Baru Paroi, including the basketball court, upgrading public toilets, and building signboards.

The MOT is also facilitating smoother interactions between the public and related agencies, assisting with applications for changes in land status from leasehold to freehold with the Lands and Mines Office, and addressing connection pipe issues with Syarikat Air Negeri Sembilan (SAINS). Additionally, RM100,000 has been allocated to assist several schools in the district under the MADANI Adopted School programme, focusing on infrastructure, student academics, and development.

For Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Seri Ampangan, the allocation will be used to supply Google TV for digital learning, support teacher team-building efforts, and pave roads and parking lots for the school. Under the state JPJ, focus will be given to SMK Panchor and Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Panchor by upgrading the resource centre, computer labs, and providing additional sports equipment.

Meanwhile, the Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) will focus on SMK Teriang Hilir in Jelebu through a Teacher Professional Development programme, upgrading existing infrastructure, organising graduation ceremonies, and donating sports equipment. The Marine Department will channel RM100,000 in allocations to SK Mantin to support academic and co-curricular activities, student affairs, and infrastructure improvements to benefit 1,388 pupils there.
