Kuala Lumpur: The teaser trailer for Papa Zola The Movie (2025), Monsta’s fourth animated film, has racked up over two million views across various online platforms within 24 hours.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the production studio, known for its box-office animated hits BoBoiBoy and Mechamato, is currently in active discussions with cinema chains and film distributors in Indonesia. The aim is to bring Papa Zola The Movie to cinemas there, following the overwhelming demand from fans eager to see it on the big screen.
Papa Zola The Movie director Nizam Abd Razak announced that Papa Zola, who is making his third film appearance following BoBoiBoy The Movie (2016) and BoBoiBoy Movie 2 (2019), will finally be the main character of the movie, with a storyline created to revolve around him.
‘Papa Zola is a character beloved by communities in Malaysia and Indonesia, transcending various backgrounds. This film delves into the origin story of Papa Zola and features action, family drama, and alien invasions – entertainment for the whole family,’ he said in a statement today.
