Mohd Zarrawi Appointed Malaysia’s CDM For APG 2025

Kuala lumpur: Malaysian Para Athletics Association president Mohd Zarrawi Ravi Abdullah has been appointed as the Chef de Mission (CDM) of the national contingent to the ASEAN Para Games (APG) 2025. The event is scheduled to take place in Korat, Thailand, from January 20 to 26 next year.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Malaysian Paralympic Council (MPM) announced that Malaysia will compete in 19 sports at APG 2025. These sports include athletics, badminton, swimming, powerlifting, table tennis, wheelchair basketball, and wheelchair tennis. The focus is currently on the athlete selection process, with emphasis on those under the National Sports Council (MSN) development programme.

Meanwhile, the MPM also revealed in their statement that MPM Vice President Joshua Edgar has been appointed as the CDM for the Asian Youth Para Games (AYPG) 2025 in Dubai. This event is scheduled from December 7 to 14 this year. MPM confirmed that Malaysia will participate in 10 out of the 11 sports contested at AYPG 2025, including athletics, archery, badminton, powerlifting, and swimming.
