MOE Allocates RM2 Million for Urgent Repairs at SMK Juasseh After Roof Collapse

Negeri sembilan: The Education Ministry (MOE) has allocated RM2 million to the Public Works Department (JKR) for urgent repair works at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Juasseh, Negeri Sembilan, following the collapse of the school's roof last Tuesday (Aug 18). Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek emphasized that the safety of students, teachers, and the entire school community could not be compromised.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Minister Fadhlina Sidek expressed her hopes for the safety and well-being of the entire SMK Juasseh community. She stated her desire for the school to resume normal operations in a safer environment. This statement was shared in a Facebook post, where she also conveyed her gratitude towards JKR, the State Education Department, the District Education Office, and the school authorities for their swift coordination to ensure that repair works could commence promptly.

The incident involved the collapse of the roof of the school's laboratory, which occurred around noon last Tuesday. Notably, Kuala Pilah Fire and Rescue Station Operations Commander Senior Fire Officer Mohd Idham Mohd Rodzi confirmed that no casualties were reported in the incident.
