Singapore: Moderate smoke haze was observed over Singapore, southern Peninsular Malaysia, as well as northern Borneo on Saturday, according to the ASEAN Specialised Meteorological Centre (ASMC). In its daily weather and haze outlook, it reported that moderate to dense smoke plumes were detected emanating from hotspot clusters across many parts of Kalimantan and the central and southern Sumatra.

According to Nam News Network, scattered to widespread hotspots were identified in Kalimantan and Sumatra, while a smaller number of hotspots were observed elsewhere in the southern ASEAN region. Many air quality stations in Borneo reported unhealthy to hazardous levels, while several stations in Sumatra, Singapore, and southern Peninsular Malaysia indicated unhealthy air quality levels.

Singapore National Environment Agency (NEA) data showed that the 24-hour Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) in the Central area remained at an unhealthy level of 114 as of 11 am on Saturday. Air quality in other regions remained at the upper end of the moderate range, with the East recording a PSI of 94, the West at 96, the North at 82, and the South at 86.
