Machang: A 13-year-old boy who went missing while swimming in Sungai Ulu Sat, Machang, was found drowned in the river last night.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Machang Fire and Rescue Station chief Ahmad Alfarra Mohamad Zain stated that the body of Mohamad Syafi Irsyad Mohd Shaharudin was discovered by members of the public approximately 1.5 kilometres from where he was last seen.

'The victim was found at 9.40 pm and was subsequently sent to Machang Hospital,' he said in a statement today.

Yesterday, Bernama reported that a 13-year-old boy was feared drowned while swimming in Sungai Ulu Sat, Machang.
