Kampung panchor: A girl, aged six, is missing and feared to have fallen into Sungai Daro in Kampung Panchor, Daro today. The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department said they received a call about the missing girl at 2.28 pm and a team from the Daro Fire and Rescue Station was dispatched to the location.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the report indicated that the girl had left by herself through the back gate of the house without either parent realising it. The father discovered the daughter's footprints leading to the river at about 1 pm and contacted the Fire Department for assistance.

The department initiated a search operation along the riverbanks and the forest behind the girl's home, covering a 500-metre radius. Villagers also joined the search efforts with boats going upstream and downstream. The department stated that the operations were suspended at 6 pm and will resume tomorrow morning.
