Kota tinggi: A 15-year-old boy who was reported missing since Monday was found dead at KM8.2 of Jalan Kluang-Kota Tinggi here early this morning after his motorcycle was believed to have crashed.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Kota Tinggi district police chief Supt Yusof Othman said police received information from members of the public about an accident involving a Yamaha 135LC motorcycle at about 2.30 am. The deceased was identified as Muhammad Nasrulhaq Kamaruzaman, who had been reported missing after he was believed to have left at 11 pm on Saturday, July 11, alone on a motorcycle to go to his friend's house in Kampung Temenin Baru here.

"The victim suffered serious injuries to his body and legs and was pronounced dead at the scene. The motorcycle he was riding was believed to have skidded and crashed," Yusof said in a statement today.

Yusof further detailed that Muhammad Nasrulhaq's body was referred to the Forensic Unit of Kota Tinggi Hospital for investigation procedures, and the case was being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. Earlier, the media reported that Muhammad Nasrulhaq had gone missing after he could not be contacted while on his way home at about 4 am last Sunday.
