Ministers Encourage Malaysians to Uphold Unity and Harmony During Aidilfitri

Kuala lumpur: Cabinet ministers urged Malaysians to use Aidilfitri celebrations as ways to strengthen unity, encourage kindness and solidarity, as well as enhance humanitarian values in the country's multicultural society.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil emphasized that Aidilfitri is not merely a celebration but a symbol of spirituality and humility that forms the foundation for a strong society. He highlighted the importance of prioritizing humanitarian values, especially in an era driven by technological advancements and artificial intelligence, to ensure harmony is preserved. Fahmi encouraged Malaysians to use technology to strengthen solidarity and spread kindness rather than creating divisions.

National Unity Minister urged Malaysians to forgive one another and foster closer ties regardless of race, religion, and culture. He pointed out that understanding and mutual respect are crucial for preserving harmony and ensuring continued peace and prosperity in the country.

Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri R Ramanan invited Malaysians to continue strengthening their unity and instilling kindness, stepping forward in the spirit of togetherness towards a brighter future. He offered his greetings, hoping that the holy month of Syawal would bring blessings, peace, and happiness to all.

Science, Technology, and Innovation Minister Datuk Chang Lih Kang conveyed his Hari Raya greetings, urging the spirit of Malaysia MADANI to be further strengthened. Meanwhile, Agriculture and Food Security Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu emphasized the values of moderation, discipline, and togetherness during Aidilfitri to ensure national stability and continued food security. He advised against panic buying based on unfounded rumors and encouraged wise spending and support for local products.

Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri echoed the message of togetherness, emphasizing the importance of appreciating relationships and strengthening bonds regardless of background. She highlighted the responsibility of preserving environmental sustainability as a trust that transcends religion and race.

Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin reminded Malaysians not to forget the sacrifices of the Malaysian Armed Forces members on duty during Syawal. Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad expressed gratitude to frontline workers, especially healthcare personnel, who continue to work tirelessly during the festive season. Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail reminded Malaysians to prioritize personal safety and that of their families while traveling.

Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Dr Zulkifli Hasan urged Muslims to practice moderation, avoid wastefulness, and spend prudently amid global uncertainties and conflicts in West Asia. He called on Malaysians to remember those facing severe trials in Gaza, Sudan, and around the world during the joy of Aidilfitri.
