Shanghai: The Malaysia International Halal Showcase, known as MIHASShanghai 2025, concluded on a remarkable note, achieving RM3.2 billion in total sales. This success stemmed from the 6-day exhibition, which included 1,000 business meetings and the signing of 16 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) valued at RM922.5 million. This achievement surpassed the RM3 billion target announced by the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Dato’ Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, during the opening ceremony.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, this figure has reinforced Malaysia’s position as a global leader and reference hub for the Halal economy. The success of MIHASShanghai has been hailed as a milestone in Malaysia’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its global halal leadership. The RM3.2 billion sales achieved at MIHASShanghai underscore the quality and global trust in Malaysia’s Halal ecosystem, marking a strategic leap in globalising Malaysia’s Halal economy.
