Melaka:The Melaka Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Leadership Council has clarified that a poster featuring the Melaka state flag and photographs of its leaders, which recently gained attention on social media, was not officially released by the party or Pakatan Harapan (PH).
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Melaka PKR Information Chief Eddiarman Mohd Yunos explained that the poster contained errors in the depiction of the Melaka state flag and the arrangement of the leaders' photographs. It was produced by an individual not associated with the party and was unrelated to any official program.
The poster has since been removed, Eddiarman noted, emphasizing that Melaka PKR consistently respects the national and state flags, coats of arms, and other official emblems and symbols. He highlighted the importance of the correct order and presentation of leaders' photographs in all official materials.
Eddiarman stated, "The poster failed to meet these two aspects, highlighting the shortcomings of generative AI in producing accurate and sensitive visuals." He urged party supporters and machinery to exercise caution when using AI-generated visuals, especially for materials related to the party.
He also expressed gratitude to media practitioners for their vigilance and fairness in reporting the issue and encouraged supporters to act responsibly when sharing content on social media.
