Kuala lumpur: The Media and Association Appreciation recognition by the Malaysia Book of Records (MBR) presented to the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) underscores the agency’s extensive impact on the country’s media landscape.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Bernama Chief Executive Officer Datin Paduka Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin emphasized that this recognition, awarded during MBR’s 30th anniversary celebration, affirms the dedication of media practitioners in showcasing Malaysian success stories through quality coverage. She noted that their roles as a news agency and as television and radio broadcasters have been acknowledged, highlighting Bernama’s overall contribution to the media sector.
Nur-ul Afida pointed out that this accolade is a testament to the significant role media practitioners play in promoting the achievements highlighted by MBR. She expressed pride in Bernama’s ability to provide coverage that brings these extraordinary accomplishments to the public eye.
The recognition was presented by MBR chairman Datuk Seri Dr Micheal Tio, in the presence of distinguished guests including former Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Penang Tun Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak, Deputy Communications Minister Teo Nie Ching, MBR CEO Christopher Wong, and head of Bernama TV Nor Hamzeela Md Hambali.
Nur-ul Afida also revealed plans for a strategic partnership between Bernama and MBR to produce a 13-episode special series featuring MBR record holders, set to premiere on August 26 on Bernama TV. She expressed confidence that this initiative would further solidify Bernama’s role in delivering inspiring stories to the wider community.
She further noted Bernama’s contribution to expanding the reach of brands and products via multiple platforms, including their latest mobile studio service, Motorhome, which supports industry efforts to introduce brands and products within relevant sectors.
