Kuala lumpur: The May 2026 supplementary electoral roll is now available for public review, offering citizens a 30-day window until July 29 to verify their voting details. Certified on June 29 and officially gazetted today, this roll includes new and updated voter information, as confirmed by Election Commission (EC) secretary Datuk Khairul Shahril Idrus.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the supplementary electoral roll features 40,139 citizens aged 18 and above who were automatically registered as new voters in May 2026. Additionally, it includes updates for 23,902 electors who have moved to different constituencies and 3,400 individuals who have modified their voter category or status.
Datuk Khairul Shahril Idrus has urged all citizens aged 18 and above who registered between May 1 and 31, 2026, as well as any registered voters who applied for a change of constituency or voting status, to check their names in the updated electoral roll. Verification can be completed through the EC portal, the MySPR Semak mobile app, or by contacting the voter registration hotline.
In cases where individuals find their names missing from the electoral roll, Khairul Shahril advises submitting a claim using Form C, available online or at State Election Offices. Additionally, registered voters can contest the transfer of another voter into their constituency by filing Form D, which can be downloaded and submitted through the appropriate channels.
Forms C and D must be submitted to the relevant State Election Director, accompanied by the objection fee, during the review period. This initiative underscores the EC's commitment to ensuring an accurate and up-to-date electoral roll for the upcoming elections.
