The port klang: Marine Police Force (PPM) has successfully seized suspected untaxed liquor and two lorries worth RM316,205 during a decisive raid at a lorry parking facility in Telok Panglima Garang. The operation took place yesterday, leading to the arrest of a local man who was allegedly guarding the premises.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Region One Marine Police Commander ACP Jaffri Bidin revealed that the detained individual is a 22-year-old local man. The arrest occurred around 6.30 pm during an operation prompted by intelligence reports that suggested the site was being used for the storage and distribution of untaxed liquor.

During the raid, officers discovered five lorries parked at the location. However, only two of these vehicles were found to contain various types of liquor within their cargo compartments. The suspect was unable to provide any valid documentation for the liquor found at the scene.

Commander Jaffri stated that the suspect has been detained to aid in investigations under Section 135(1)(d) of the Customs Act 1967 and the Local Government Act 1976. The confiscated items and the suspect have been transferred to the Kuala Langat District Police Headquarters for further investigation and action.
