Man Suffers Seizure, Crashes Into Six Parked Vehicles In Cheras

Cheras: A man is believed to have suffered a seizure while driving a BMW 320i before losing control and crashing into six vehicles parked along the left shoulder of Jalan Midah 1, Cheras, this morning. Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) chief ACP Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa said the incident occurred at about 8.30 am when the 28-year-old man was travelling from his home to work at Taman Midah 1.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the driver is believed to have suddenly suffered a seizure, causing him to lose control of the vehicle before it veered off the road and crashed into six vehicles parked at the scene. He said none of the six vehicles had drivers or passengers inside when the incident occurred, and they belonged to four women aged between 29 and 43, a 39-year-old man, and one was a company vehicle.

No injuries were reported, and the accident only caused damage to the vehicles involved. Initial checks also found that the BMW driver had a history of seizures spanning about 10 years. Mohd Zamzuri said a breathalyser test conducted on the driver also returned negative, with a reading of 0 milligrammes/100 millilitres.

The case has been classified under Rule 10 of LN 166/59, and further investigations are ongoing.
