Malaysia’s MLBB Success Highlights MPL MY Talent Development

Nagoya:Malaysia's bronze medal in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang event at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games showcases the depth of talent within the MLBB Professional League Malaysia (MPL MY) ecosystem.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, national head coach Poon Kok Sing, known as OzoraVeki, emphasized that MPL MY continues to produce promising players who can compete at higher levels with the right guidance and environment. He noted significant improvement in players Muhammad Razif Sazali (Sizkaa) and Muhammad Danial Mohamad Fuad (Cikugais) during their short time with the team.

OzoraVeki is optimistic about the future of the Malaysian MLBB scene, citing the increasingly intense competition in MPL MY. He expressed excitement about the potential developments in the current season.

In addition, OzoraVeki acknowledged that his role with Selangor Red Giants (SRG) in MPL MY, especially working under Arcadia, was crucial in preparing him for his leadership role at the Asian Games. He learned that coaching extends beyond in-game strategies to include man-management, player motivation, and training routine planning.

As he returns to his tactical coaching role with SRG, OzoraVeki believes his experience leading the national team and overseeing the drafting process will enhance his contribution to the club. He anticipates that this experience will strengthen the team in future international tournaments and MPL matches.

Malaysia's national squad, which included Haqqullah Ahmad Shahrul Zaman (Sekyss), Hazziq Danish Rizwan (Stormie), CikuGais, Sizkaa, Qayyum Ariffin Suhairi (YumS), and Muhammad Danish Fitri Razman (Unii), secured the bronze medal at the Asian Games after a semi-final loss to Myanmar.
