Subang:The Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency (AKPS) conducted a raid on a hangar at Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang, believed to be connected to a recent significant drug seizure in Laos involving 521 kilograms of drugs.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the operation was a collaborative effort involving the Bukit Aman Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (JSJN), AKPS, Petaling Jaya District Police Headquarters (IPD), Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad Auxiliary Police (AVSEC), and Special Branch Travel Control Officers (TCO).
Port Klang AKPS Commander Datuk Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal confirmed the raid and subsequent arrests, stating that the operation, which had been planned since the previous day, began at noon and concluded successfully. Four individuals were arrested while preparing for a flight and were handed over to the Bukit Aman JSJN for further investigation.
Nik Ezanee refrained from divulging specific details about the operation or the identities of the suspects, deferring to the Bukit Aman JSJN for additional information.
Last week, Laotian authorities seized 521 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine from a private Learjet that had arrived from Subang. In connection with this case, 13 individuals, including a Malaysian, Singaporean, and Filipino, were detained by Laotian police to aid their investigation into the cross-border drug trafficking operation.
