Malaysian Archers Clinch Two Bronze Medals In Asia Cup 2026

Bangkok: National archers bagged two bronze medals on the third day of the 2026 Asia Cup Archery Championships (Stage 1) in Bangkok today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the national women's compound trio of Fatin Nurfatehah Mat Salleh, Ng Sui Kim, and Aina Syazwana Abdul Muhaimin delivered the first bronze with a shoot-off win over Thailand after both teams were tied 225-225. The women's team had earlier lost 227-229 to Kazakhstan in the semi-finals.

The men's recurve team of Quick Chern Xin, Evan Rich Chong, and Muhammad Haiqal Danish Syamsul Affandi also secured a bronze medal after defeating Taiwan 6-2. The men's team had faced a setback in the semi-finals, losing 1-5 to India.
