Malaysia Stands in Solidarity with Pakistan After Islamabad Mosque Attack – PM Anwar

Islamabad: Malaysia stands in solidarity with the people of Pakistan following the loss of life in the bombing of a mosque in Islamabad during yesterday's Friday prayers. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim also extended his condolences to the families of the victims and all those affected by the attack.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar expressed his profound sadness over the attack that took place at the Imambargah Qasr-e-Khadijatul Kubra mosque in Islamabad's Tarlai suburb. In a Facebook post, he stated, 'Such a deliberate attack on the faithful is an affront to the most basic norms of humanity, and our thoughts are with those who have been bereaved or injured.'

Anwar conveyed his confidence that the authorities in Pakistan will conduct a thorough investigation and ensure that those responsible for the attack are brought to justice. The incident resulted in the loss of at least 31 lives and left 169 individuals injured when an attacker detonated explosives within the mosque.
