Malaysia Secures Top Spot in Global Islamic Economy for 2025

Kuala lumpur: Malaysia has retained its position as the world's leading Islamic economy in 2025, a recognition that highlights the country's strong Islamic financial system, halal industry, and development ecosystem. Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming attributed this achievement to the country's political stability, clear economic policies, and overall development direction.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the State of the Global Islamic Economy (SGIE) Report 2024/2025 served as the basis for Malaysia's top ranking. Nga emphasized that the MADANI Government's focus on good governance, investor confidence, and inclusive development has garnered international recognition.

Nga stated that Malaysia's continued success as the world's top Islamic economy underscores the effectiveness of the Malaysia MADANI approach, which positions the country on a strong and globally respected footing. He noted that this achievement is a triumph for all Malaysians, transcending race and religion.

Nga highlighted that Malaysia's position ahead of several major Islamic countries underscores the strength and competitiveness of sectors that have gained international trust. The government aims to strengthen its development agenda by providing quality housing, sustainable urban development, and initiatives to enhance community well-being.

He assured that the MADANI Government is committed to ensuring that the nation's prosperity translates into broader economic opportunities and inclusive, sustainable development. Nga also urged Malaysians to maintain stability, unity, and support for the country's development agenda to keep Malaysia respected on the international stage.
