Malaysia Aims to Win 2025 Lawn Bowls World Cup

Kuala lumpur: Malaysia aims to emerge as champions in the 2025 Lawn Bowls World Cup, which will be from Nov 4 to 8 at Arena Lawn Bowls, Bukit Kiara in Kuala Lumpur. Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Adam Adli Abdul Halim expressed confidence in achieving this target based on the national team’s performance and preparations.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the minister highlighted that the event, organized by Bowls Malaysia, is an opportunity to showcase Malaysia’s lawn bowling talent and demonstrate the country’s capability in hosting a global championship. He assured that the Youth and Sports Ministry (KBS) would provide the necessary support to ensure the smooth organization of the World Cup.

Adam Adli also revealed that the Malaysian team has been training in Scotland with one of the best teams there, viewing the World Cup as an excellent preparation for the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.

Approximately 200 participants are competing in the 2025 National Lawn Bowls Championship. Their performances will be assessed for points, which will influence their positions in the National Ranking System-a key factor in selecting athletes for major international competitions.
