Malakoff Radiance Secures Solar Energy Contract Expansion with Northport

Port Klang: Malakoff Radiance Sdn Bhd, the solar arm of Malakoff Corp Bhd, has successfully secured the second phase of its solar energy contract from Northport (Malaysia) Bhd. This development marks a significant step in enhancing the solar energy capacity at the CT2 building in Port Klang, with a total capacity of 2,025.81 kilowatt-peak (kWp).

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the partnership was formalized with the signing of a solar power purchase agreement on February 10, 2025. This agreement is set to substantially increase Northport’s total solar energy capacity to 4.4 megawatt-peak (MWp), aligning with its efforts to promote sustainable operations.

Malakoff highlighted that this phase builds upon the successful completion of a 2.4 MWp rooftop solar photovoltaic system in December 2022. Anwar Syahrin Abdul Ajib, Malakoff’s managing director and group chief executive officer, emphasized that the collaboration illustrates the commitment of both Malakoff Radiance and Northport in delivering sustainable energy solutions, thereby contributing to Malaysia’s renewable energy goals.

In his statement, Anwar Syahrin Abdul Ajib expressed that by joining forces with key industry players like Northport, Malakoff Radiance is playing a role in advancing the nation’s transition to cleaner energy sources.
