According to BERNAMA News Agency, MAHA 2026 attracted more than five million visitors, surpassing its target of four million, while a total of 97 MoUs were signed, with a combined value of more than RM10.35 billion, exceeding the RM8 billion target. Total sales exceeded RM73 million, surpassing the target of RM58 million. The increase in attendance among various segments of society, including the Chinese and Indian communities, shows that MAHA is increasingly recognised as a national platform that brings together people of different races and backgrounds.
The ministry said the strong turnout reflected MAHA's inclusive nature as a platform for Malaysians to learn about, experience and support the development of the country's agriculture, agri-food and agrotourism sectors. More than two million young people, or 40 per cent of total visitors, attended MAHA 2026, reflecting growing interest among the younger generation in the agriculture and agri-food sectors. It added that the success of MAHA 2026 was the result of the commitment and close cooperation of all ministries, departments and agencies, state governments, exhibitors, strategic partners, the media, staff and everyone involved in organising this year's edition.
MAHA 2026 has once again demonstrated its ability to serve as a prestigious platform that not only enjoys an overwhelming response from the public, but also generates significant economic value. It also reinforces the country's development agenda for the agriculture, agri-food and food security sectors, in line with the MADANI Government's agenda and aspirations to ensure the well-being of the people. Yesterday, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim praised the success of MAHA 2026, which recorded an outstanding achievement and the highest attendance in its history, demonstrating the public's strong interest in and focus on the country's agriculture sector.
