Kuantan: The Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) are set to conduct tactical flight training from tomorrow until September 18 at the Kuantan Air Base and the surrounding airspace of Pahang. This exercise will involve various military aircraft, including fighter jets, transport planes, and helicopters.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) released a statement indicating that the training is a preparatory measure for a dynamic demonstration scheduled for the 92nd MAF Day Parade on September 20. Additionally, the Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) Carnival will take place on September 20 and 21 at the base.
The upcoming dynamic demonstration aims to exhibit the MAF’s capabilities in defending national sovereignty and executing hostage rescue operations against adversarial forces. The demonstration will include several controlled explosions, as noted in the statement.
The RMAF has advised the public to remain calm if they witness low-flying aircraft or hear explosions during the training sessions. They have also extended an invitation to the public to partake in the 92nd MAF Day celebrations, which will showcase static displays of MAF assets alongside live dynamic demonstrations.
