Kuala lumpur: In a Facebook post today, Zulkifli announced the launch of the #MadaniMembantu campaign, aimed at ensuring that assistance reaches the people in the best possible manner.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Zulkifli highlighted that the RM2.6 billion allocation announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) in Budget 2026 will be used optimally to manage and empower Islamic affairs. This includes administration, policy development, dakwah programmes, and the strengthening of religious institutions.
Zulkifli emphasized that mosques, surau, religious schools, tahfiz institutions, pondok institutions, asnaf (tithe recipients), and students of religious institutions will receive full support through cost-of-living assistance, education, and community development initiatives based on MADANI values.
He also mentioned that the immediate allocation of RM200 million announced by the Prime Minister recently is designated for repair, upgrading, and maintenance works at religious schools and tahfiz institutions nationwide.
According to Zulkifli, these initiatives demonstrate that under the administration of the MADANI Government, with the support of officers from the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) and the Malaysian people, Islam continues to flourish, thrive, and remain safeguarded in the country.
