LTdL 2025: Some Major Road Closures In Eight Districts Of Selangor From Thursday

Selangor: Several major roads in eight districts in Selangor will be closed and traffic diverted in stages to make way for Stages 5, 6, and 8 of the Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL) 2025, starting this Thursday. Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar announced that the districts involved are Hulu Selangor, Ampang Jaya, Kajang, Shah Alam, North Klang, South Klang, Kuala Langat, and Sepang. The total race distance will cover 162 kilometres.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the road closures and traffic diversions will be implemented according to the schedule and stage of the cycling race, as well as the location of the route being travelled by participants. The closures will commence with the fifth stage in Hulu Selangor, involving the Jalan Gap route towards Bukit Fraser and Fraser’s Hill, starting at 1.49 pm this Thursday.

The sixth stage will continue the following day, with participants being released at 9 am from Dataran Kemerdekaan Shah Alam. The route will include Persiaran Sultan, Sri Andalas, Sijangkang, Telok Panglima Garang, Jenjarom, Sungai Manggis, and Telok Datok, proceeding to Banting, Kanchong Darat, Morib, Kampung Batu Laut, Tanjung Sepat, Sungai Pelek, and Pekan Sepang, before concluding in Port Dickson.

For the eighth stage on Sunday, the race will span the route from Beranang to Semenyih, Jalan Sungai Lalang, Sungai Tekala, Jalan Hulu Langat, Jalan Ampang, up to KLCC. This will cover the Kajang and Ampang Jaya areas, with road closures starting at 2.55 pm.

A total of 392 officers and police personnel, along with 235 Team Sahabat members, including local authorities (PBT), will be stationed along the route to ensure smooth traffic flow. Motorists are advised to avoid the affected routes during the closures and to plan their journeys accordingly to reduce inconvenience.

LTdL 2025 will travel through all 12 states in Peninsular Malaysia over the course of eight stages, covering a total distance of 1,243.5 km. The race will start on Langkawi Island and end in front of KLCC in Kuala Lumpur on October 5.
