Kuantan: The Armed Forces Fund Board (LTAT) successfully extended the reach of its services and initiatives to 28,500 Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) personnel through the LTAT Jelajah Wira 2026 - East Coast Edition, held today at the Kuantan Air Force Base. LTAT Chief Executive Mohammad Ashraf Md Radzi said the nationwide tour is a proactive initiative to strengthen engagement between the fund's management and contributors from all ranks.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the tour is planned in phases to cover the entire country, aiming to connect contributors with LTAT management and engage directly with personnel who contribute 10 per cent of their monthly income to the fund. The event concluded with Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin officiating the closing ceremony for the East Coast Edition.
During the event, LTAT launched the LTAT-Affin Debit Card to honor the loyalty and service of MAF personnel. Mohammad Ashraf emphasized the card as a recognition of their contributions to the nation. Additionally, the Kem Santuni MADANI 2026 programme was launched by Mohamed Khaled, with a budget of RM600,000 to benefit over 6,500 MAF family members across six military camps.
The programme will be conducted at various military locations including Kem Desa Pahlawan in Kelantan and KD Sultan Ismail in Johor. Mohammad Ashraf highlighted that the initiative represents LTAT's comprehensive approach to welfare, supporting the families and communities within the ATM ecosystem.
Airman I Muhammad Syahmi Mohd Shobri and Airman I Muhammad Izzuddin Mohd Hanapi shared their positive experiences with LTAT's contribution scheme, praising its competitive dividends and long-term savings benefits, particularly valuable upon retirement.
Royal Malaysian Air Force Air Sergeant Haidil Jafar expressed gratitude after winning an electric motorcycle in the event's lucky draw, acknowledging the meaningful impact of the Jelajah Wira event.
Also in attendance were Defence Ministry Secretary-General Datuk Lokman Hakim Ali, LTAT Chairman General Tan Sri Azizan Ariffin, and LTAT Investment Panel Chairman Datuk Khairol Anuar Mohamad Tawi.
