Live Broadcast of 2026 Bahrain GP Announced for Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur:The 2026 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix will be broadcast live in Malaysia via Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM), starting tomorrow.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced the live telecast to ensure that the excitement of the world-class race can be shared and enjoyed by citizens across the country.

Anwar expressed hope that this broadcast would allow people from every corner of Malaysia to experience the thrill of the race, which will be held at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC). The event is scheduled to run from tomorrow until Sunday.

In preparation for the race, Anwar participated in the Pit Lane Walk and discussed hosting arrangements with Bahrain's Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. SIC has been chosen as the temporary venue for this prestigious event.

This hosting decision follows a July confirmation by Formula 1, after an agreement was reached with the International Automobile Federation (FIA), and the governments of Malaysia and Bahrain. The race is slated to take place from October 2 to 4.
