Lee Chean Chung Resigns as Petaling Jaya MP

Petaling Jaya:Petaling Jaya MP Lee Chean Chung has resigned from his position effective immediately, following the submission of his resignation letter to Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Dr Johari Abdul.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Lee submitted his resignation letter during a meeting at 3 pm yesterday, which was part of a formal handover of his duties. The announcement was made at a special press conference at the Petaling Jaya Parliamentary Service Centre and was shared on his Facebook page.

Despite his resignation, Lee confirmed that the Petaling Jaya Parliamentary Service Centre will continue to operate and serve the local community. He also plans to submit an official letter to resign from the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) on Monday, expressing gratitude for the opportunities provided by the party over the past 18 years.

Lee's resignation follows a recent decision by PKR to suspend his membership for three years, which he was informed of on September 30.
