KTMB Introduces Special Train Service for Hari Raya Aidiladha Travelers

Kuala Lumpur: Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) has announced the introduction of a special train service aimed at accommodating travellers heading to the East Coast for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidiladha celebrations.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, KTMB has named this special service the Ekspres Lambaian Aidiladha, which will offer two scheduled services with 436 tickets available per trip. The train is set to provide a range of seating options including premier and superior class seats, as well as superior sleeper coaches. Additional amenities include chillax and caf© coaches to enhance the travel experience. Ticket prices range from RM80 to RM95, and they will be available for purchase starting at 10 am on Thursday, May 8, 2025.

The special train is scheduled to depart from KL Sentral to Tumpat, Kelantan at 11 pm on June 5, and it will return from Tumpat to KL Sentral at 10.45 pm on June 8. The route includes stops at various stations such as Bandar Tasik Selatan, Kajang, Seremban, Pulau Sebang, Gemas, Bahau, Mentakab, Jerantut, Kuala Lipis, Gua Musang, Dabong, Kuala Krai, Tanah Merah, Pasir Mas, and Wakaf Bharu before reaching its final destination in Tumpat.

KTMB’s initiative is in line with the government’s efforts to expand public transport options and reduce traffic congestion, particularly along the East Coast routes, which experience high traffic volumes during festive seasons. This special service not only facilitates safe and comfortable travel for locals returning to their families but also provides an alternative for tourists exploring destinations along the East Coast. Passengers are encouraged to arrive early at the station to ensure smooth security and documentation checks.

Tickets can be purchased through the KTM Mobile (KITS) app, KTMB’s official website at www.ktmb.com.my, or at KTMB kiosk machines. For further enquiries and updates, the public can contact the KTMB call centre at 03-9779 1200 or visit KTMB’s official social media platforms.
